Bitcoin is not Crypto
Regardless of what the various fanboys will tell you, Bitcoin is not like any of the other crypto projects and shouldn’t be treated as such in your portfolio.
Bitcoin is the immaculate conception. It is digital energy that is protected by the worlds largest decentralised network. It is deemed ‘not a security’ by all the major countries (those that matter) and has so far proven to be indestructible and essentially incorruptible.
This is NOT the case for ANY other “cryptocurrency” projects. This does not mean that speculative gains can’t be made in other projects. It also does not mean that on a USD % term that “Profits” can’t be greater realised while trading and flipping other coins.
